Welcome Another New Contributor to The Last Goddess – Pastor Shanks!

Pastor Shanks is the leader of a Midwestern African Methodist Episcopal Church, or as I like to call it, the First Church of Kill Whitey.

I have been receiving emails from brother Shanks for about a year now; he reads the magazine and I guess it worries him because during that time he has been steadfastly trying to save my soul from Satan’s grasp. With mixed results if you ask me but he seems to think the cause is not lost, so, as he likes to say, god bless him.

Anyway, he’s an interesting dude and I’ve always thought it would be fun to have him contribute some of his wit and wisdom to the magazine, but he always politely refused. But he has finally agreed to submit articles on one particular topic, and it’s one I’m personally looking forward to learning more about.

Like many aging brothas, Pastor Shanks was athletic and healthy in his youth, but has become a large man, chunky but funky, big and tall, king size, thick, got some junk in the trunk, etc… Now dangerously obese, he has decided to undergo gastric surgery in hopes of losing a significant amount of weight and ameliorating the serious health problems he currently suffers from as a result. Fortunately for us, he has also agreed to document his journey down that road here, in The Last Goddess Magazine.

So in the coming days, weeks and beyond we will be hearing from Pastor C. Shanks on his weight loss surgery, and hopefully we’ll be able to share in his transformation from sickly obese person to thin, healthy person.

And hey, when you get right down to it, that’s now the American dream, right?
